Über uns
Depression makes coping in everyday life difficult. In this group we want to share the experiences we have with depression and connect with others in similar situations. Possible topics to discuss are our experiences of daily life, work and relationships with depression. There is room to share struggles, strategies to get better and personal successes.
We also want to share how living in Berlin as people from abroad affects us in our situation (e.g., loneliness, language barriers, racism). Often the way society is built plays a big role in our mental health. We also want to be open to speak about unequal opportunities in society – for example as women, people of color or queer people - and how we can find ways to live well in spite of such built-in obstacles for some people.
The group is open to anyone who suffers from depression. For the communication it is important that we respect each other’s specific experiences even if they are not our own (e.g., experiences of sexism or racism).“
